When I first discovered the online boutique, Tobi, I was in college. I remember sitting at the desk in my room, surrounded by books and dirty dishes (let's be honest), looking for unique clothing that would fit into my college-student budget. Discovering Tobi was just what I needed. Ever since then, I have always shopped Tobi and recommended them to my friends--their styles are on-trend, affordable and amazing quality. That college student at her messy desk would never have believed she would one day have the opportunity to work with Tobi and help promote their brand1
But here we are! Working with brands I love was one of the aspirations I had when starting Luna Elise, so I'm extremely proud and excited to partner with Tobi and bring these looks to you! I wanted to try something unique with this project, something that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I decided to style navy dresses. For winter. I didn't have any navy dresses, but it is such a perfect color for winter and when I saw the navy dresses on the Tobi website, i saw so much potential!
This outfit is a riff on hiking gear. It's glamping in outfit form. You have the backpack and hiking boots, but they are Burberry and the Gigi Boot by Stuart Weitzman. The Tobi anorak layered with a luxe fur vest adds some needed winter warmth, and the beanie tops it all off with a casual, cozy vibe. But the anchor for this outfit is the Pettra Stripe Bodycon Dress by Tobi. I love this dress for so many reasons--the ribbed fabric, the high-neckline, the open back--but my favorite thing about it is the versatility of this piece. I am always looking for that pieces that can do a lot of things and this is one of them. Whether you want to channel the retro-hiker vibe like I did, or use your own inspiration, this dress needs to find its way into your wardrobe and into your own story.
In celebration of my collaboration with Tobi, I am creating a two-part series this week on styling navy dresses for winter (because, let's be honest, you can never just add one thing to your cart!). Stay tuned for another look and another reason to add navy to your closet this winter. :) Last, but most certainly not least, I have to extend a HUGE thank you to Sara Clance Photography not only for the last minute shoot, but for making time even while recovering from the flu! THANK YOU!!
