I can’t believe winter is already almost over! 2017 is off and running away with us, and currently bringing warmer temperatures with it. We are into that tricky time when it’s hard to decide whether to dress for spring or winter. Over the next weeks, I plan to showcase some looks to help get through the tricky changing of seasons.
In true rule-breaking fashion, I have to feature winter white. Strangely enough, I love the way white looks against my pale winter skin. And shout out to my hair for looking extra frosty for this shoot! This outfit is the perfect mix of wintery elements (sweater, beanie) while still throwing in some items that are better for slightly warmer temps like mules and ripped jeans. The cold-shoulder sweater also plays to this trend with subtle flashes of skin.
The finer details really pull this outfit together. The super chunky beanie adds interest, and the animal print bag adds much needed pattern to this outfit. With the lip color and matching velvet slides, I am using one of my favorite outfit tips—match colors on two small details for a subtly tied together look. I envision this look taken out for a morning brunch and shopping with friends for the perfect level of casual polish!
A note on the bag: I could not link the exact bag as it has been sold out everywhere for a long time. The exact style name for those of you eBay treasure hunters is "Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag Leopard." My bag pictured above was an eBay find and is one of my favorite bags. i got it half off but even that was still an investment price tag. Alexander Wang's "Diego" style is still available in plenty of other colors, so I did link it below. For those of you wanting to stick to a budget and to the leopard look, I also found some great alternatives--some under $100! ]
